About Us & Outreach Opportunities

The Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Network of State Teachers of the Year was formed in 1995.  The chapter works with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to support the program by providing services and materials to select and honor the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. We also serve current and future teachers in Pennsylvania by holding conferences at Colleges and Universities each Fall/Spring Semester called "TEACH Mini Conferences" and members are available to speak upon request.

Pennsylvania Department of Education is a non-voting member of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Network of State Teachers of the Year, and along with the executive board, provides direction for the program selection process, funding and guidance for the annual teachers’ forum and technical assistance to Pennsylvania’s Teacher of the Year once selected.
